After the storm clears, Jim sees that the ship didn't drift far at all, just skirted the island. He steers the Hispaniola into a bay and runs as fast as he can to the fort, which he finds completely destroyed and deserted. Suddenly Captain Silver is standing in front of him again, who apparently survived. The other pirates capture Jim and want to kill him, but Silver prevents this. A mutiny ensues, during which Captain Silver is defeated.
